Over the course of this saga, since the story was made public around September 2007, although the comments section on the blog itself has been closed for quite a while now (to avoid the abuse from those trying to pretend their innocence & their little team of helpers) - we have been getting lots of comments via email and some from when my profile was flying the warning flag back on DIA.
I thought it would be a good idea to show some of these comments - all from the Philippines.

"Hello, I'm originally from the Philippines, but have lived more than half of my life now in the USA. I've just started reading your blog. Interesting read so far. I'll let you know what I think after I read the whole thing. But to reassure you, NOT ALL PEOPLE, or to be more specific, NOT ALL FILIPINOS, are like the ones in your blog. I can understand the need for some of "my people" to get a better life for themselves and perhaps be able to help their family as well, but I never imagined scamming becoming so prevalent. To be honest, I never knew it was that "common" until I joined this site just a few months ago. But, you know what, it doesn't happen to men only... anyone with a means will be approached by anyone with a need... I've been approached by men who just wants to move to the USA. I hope your blog does save others from becoming victims. I'm sorry you had to go through all the things you went through. "hi! this is a sad blog. i haven't read much of your story but this is quite disturbing. i was just Google-ing for particular words when i accidentally clicked on your article. yes, please be careful on scams by some interesting & beautiful ladies from my country. some families here are abusing this technology, employing their beautiful daughters or sons, to gain money from generous people in 1st world countries. they make it into a business, much like the Nigerian scams (sorry to mention this). good thing you were quite vigilant."

i've just read your blog and i'm awfully sorry for what happened to you. it scared me actually. it's not the exposure that i'm afraid of, it's the fact that more and more Filipinos will be treated third class citizen by other countries only because some people here are leading a wasted life. i find it rather kind that you just direct your observation to ur bloggers' homepage instead of saying the brutally honest reality in dia. i don't know how i can ease the sadness that you're experiencing or experienced. maybe i couldn't after all. i can only assure that i'm with you in seeking one true love.
maybe this is the reason why i still couldn't find a real sensible man and they're only good for one or two messages. after that, they tell stories about how Filipinas ask money from them like they tell their moms how they got a black eye.
this is my first dating site and i just signed up two weeks ago. i'm wondering, how can i save face if a lot of men are seeing the scam girls, not me, the real me.
But that's life. everything is about gambling.

Shes only 23 oh my god...i think its there way of life and the way they make a living..its an organized syndicate and they target victims mostly older men coz they know they like younger women...
But then you can always make a mistake on this online dating ..we just need to be very careful. Your case i think is not so bad coz u did had sex with the girl though your feelings was really hurt..some guy here lost all his money without even meeting the girl."

"Hi, i read all your journeys at your blog and i have mixed emotions regarding all that had happened to you and all those lies and dishonesty inspte of your being so honest. its also happened to one of our onlune friend from canada , he gave cash to a 22 years old girl from cantillan surigao del sur and after getting the cash she told dvid tat she was raped and was killed
but i found out she went away with the guy taking the cash and the setr of computers david bought for her as a start of their business venture.
our canadadian online friend was also a victim of the same fraud you have encounter, she draft letter for david and was signed under her parents name, and told david that she was just off from hospital. LOL ....but later i have found out she was leaving with a local guy who was her conspirator of fraud.
have spent time reading your blog, i as inteested and i have sypathy with you my heart bleeds so much with those B--- S--- filipinas. who scam foreigners.
he has moved on easily , he is a flirty one and loves with the company ofyoung girls so he was scamed i was telling him beware and i told him i dont trust his what he claims gf because of his age gap he was 66 and the girl was 22 going 23
but he never believes me and my mama. so when i told her i have a feeling she had a BF and the BF was with her now, he panicked and found out it was true.
what the lady did she used a different ID and chat with me and him telling us make us believe she was kiiled raped and her body was burned and dumped in the forest area of surigao del sur so i aska relative who is with the military to find out. and they said they never heard about any news and they clled the municipality of cantillan. and none was reported so i called her number and she replied to me and told her how good her drama was and i told her that we hired a military to investigate
when she heard about it she coontact david and ask forgiveness, i will not stop harrassing her if she would not cooperate with me
the blog was good to those who understand and sympathized with you like me, since i hate liers and scammers, and beggars. but to the who doesnt understand will just say good for you because you were fool and weakened by the beauty and her innocence and loving caring touches.
i guess he was also the conspirator, like the jun that Issah introduced david as her uncle and davd releases big amount . young ladies aretheir bait to extract money or it could be the boss motivated you gf to extract money so she can have one property where - real estate was located."

"I won't try to disuade you of how there are still good people out there. I am a Filipina and unfortunately, there are just too many sad stories that victimized foreigners. I am sorry that you were one of them. I won't find excuses for my fellow countrywomen's behavior because its only themselves that knew what drove them to do what they did. Confirming what I have known all along - that the people I have been involved with are a shameful minority - frowned upon by their fellow countrymen and women - and some share the opinion that the story should stay - as a warning to others.
